About the project
This project is a result of Annie Atkins’ online course, “Designing and Making Graphic Props for Filmmaking”. For our final project, we had the option to either continue with the props we started during the classes or create a whole new story. I chose to build upon my initial props and add new elements to make the project more interesting.
FUGITIVE UNLEASHED
The concept
My story revolves around Lucas Blackwell, an American pharmacist accused of murder by poisoning. Originally from Dallas, Lucas ran his pharmacy in New Orleans, LA, where he committed his crimes. He once escaped custody before being arrested again.
The final solution
To bring this story to life, I crafted several graphic props:
– A newspaper page announcing the escape of Lucas Blackwel
– A telegram warning locals
– Lucas Blackwell’s rap sheet
– A prescription from his pharmacy
– A bottle of poison used in the murders
– A flight ticket he intended to use to flee
– Matchbox with a pack of cigarettes
